Info
When it comes to a unique style that catches the hearts of millions, Immortal Technique has done this multiple times over. Felipe Andres Coronel always knew that he had music in his soul, and it began during turbulent times at a young age. After getting in trouble with the authorities during his teenage years, Coronel was able to hone his rapping skills in jail after becoming incarcerated for some time. It was there that the picture had become clear: music would become his outlet, and his message to the people.
Coronel battled against MCs while in New York, gaining reputation and rising to the top of the game in his area. Revolutionary Vol. 1 was Immortal Technique’s debut album that premiered in 2001. The album was unsigned and undistributed, but managed to do the unthinkable for a rap artist that was not signed to any label. The album proved that an individual with enough talent could make it in the rap game without having to let the big game record companies take what they wanted from you.
Immortal technique has always rapped about hot topics such as religion, poverty, and government. He has never been afraid to bring light to an injustice within his music and still rallies individuals behind his messages. Immortal technique is here to stay, and so too is his message for generations to come.
