The Environmental Justice Summit is a bold platform for representation and activism that elevates and amplifies the voice and power of people of color as leaders in the Environmental Justice Movement.

Environmentalism is a movement that impacts all classes, colors, and demographics of society and yet there is a lack of diversity in the environmental movement. People of color are strong supporters of environmental issues, more so than is commonly perceived. After all, communities of color have a much higher risk of air pollution and, historically, have been targeted as dumping sites for toxic pollution.

This lack of diversity is hurting the movement and stalling progress that’s been made to address the issue of climate change. If we want to continue making advancements in the climate change movement, we need to be more inclusive. At our 5th Annual Environmental Justice Summit, leading POC environmental organizers from the Bay Area and beyond will come together to share experiences and discuss steps to diversify the Green Movement and discuss specific needs of our most vulnerable communities.

This event will include a revolutionary keynote address and panel discussion which will engage environmental experts and leaders who can help us forge ideas and solutions for climate justice and accountability by working alongside our movement to solve these looming problems in our communities.
