In celebration of March being National Kidney Month, OneLegacy Foundation presents “Connecting the Dots: Hip Hop & Health” a community awareness event on March 2, 2024 from 10:30am-2pm at SLiC Studios. Spinning off 50 years of Hip Hop, this gift of life conversation includes rapper, writer, educator and advocate Freeway who went through six years of dialysis before receiving his kidney transplant. Also joining the beat of this empowerment panel is hip-hop pioneer Kurtis Blow, journalist and host Nicole Richardson who received her kidney transplant in 2023 and more.
What we do is love our community so join OneLegacy Foundation for a day of cultural celebration, live engagement, awareness and advocacy. This event is FREE to the public with special guests, live music, free giveaways, health screenings, and more.
Hip hop rapper Freeway and others will talk about health, wellness and the lifesaving encounters they experienced on their transplant journey.
