Some of music’s biggest names come together for a musical celebration of Black freedom and excellence, headlined by Chance the Rapper. Chance’s mixtapes blew up in the 2010s and launched the Chicagoan into the modern rap stratosphere; he won three Grammys (the first artist to do so with a streaming-only album), and his fusion of hip hop and gospel was met with adulation by audiences and critics alike. Rolling Stone called 2025’s Star Line, his first album in six years, “a remarkable return to form” while NPR praised verses “imbued with an impressive, almost mournful knowingness.” Having last played the Hollywood Bowl in 2017, he returns to offer another chance to revel in the eloquence and artistry of one of rap’s great independent success stories. ⁣
