It was all about vibes this past weekend at the Day n Night Festival hosted by The Observatory. The event was located at Oak Canyon Park in Orange County California.

With a high of 98 degrees, festival attendees came prepared for the heat, dressed for the undeniably hot weather, carrying around hydration backpacks filled with water, and taking advantage of the water-misting systems to keep them hydrated and cool over the weekend.

From the start of the event, as the gates opened, the energy was high all day and night long.

Attendees rushed to the Day N Night Festival sign to take pictures before the first performances took place.

Phone reception was poor, but that did not stop people from snapping a few selfies, and making Snapchat videos to save and post later.

The attendance grew as day turned into night. Day n Night was a carefree and friendly environment. Lots of dancing and cheering took place over the weekend, which made this festival so enjoyable.

In between sets, people in the crowd took a minute to recharge by napping on the grass.

The majority of the attendees were young adults, but the festival also welcomed younger teenagers and older adults.

Day one’s daytime lineup was filled with artists such as MadeInTYO, Russ, Lil Yatchy, Lil Uzi Vert

Rae Sremmurd, and Post Malone which took place on the Night stage, 1 of the 3 stages at the park.

At the second stage, known as the Weed Maps stage, located on the other side of the park, Joey Purp, Chester Watson, and Sonny Digital kept the energy high during the day, getting the crowd hype as they prepare for Saturday night’s top performances.

On the stage known as the Day Stage, artists like Donmonique and Kat Dahla created great vibes during their time on stage, capturing attention from the center of the park.

Later that night, Post Malone, YG, and ASAP Rocky were set to perform. Starting off the night, Post Malone makes an appearance on stage performing his hit song, “White Iverson”, and it was apparent by the roar in the crowd that set the tone for the night.

Up next, after a long wait, and the fans yelling his name, YG takes over the stage.

The crowd went crazy, singing along as YG performs songs from his latest album “Still Brazy”, and song from his debut album, “My Krazy Life”, released in 2014.

To end Day n Night’s first night, the fashion killer makes his grand entrance on the stage as the fog rolled in and the bright orange and red colored background, created a silhouette that the crowd immediately recognized. It was ASAP Rocky performing “LSD” from his second album “At. Long. Last. ASAP”.

The noise elevated in the park, fans were screaming in excitement for ASAP Rocky. He had everyone’s attention from the time he appeared on stage, and also giving the audience a sample of his new music. It definitely was a great way to end the first night.

Attendees came back Sunday, recharged and ready for the last day of the Day n Night Festival.

Day two was stacked with great artists that would perform throughout the day.

To kick off the day, leading into the night, Soulection, Gold Link, Famous Dex, and Vic Mensa made an appearance on stages.

Hippie Sabotage and Chief Keef took over the Weed Maps stage later that night.

On the Night Stage, ILOVEMAKONNEN, 21 Savage, and SESHOLLOWATERBOYZ (SHWB), turned the crowd up, getting them ready for Bryson Tiller and Young Thug to come up next to the stage.

Bryson Tiller came through and put on a performance that the audience enjoyed, as they sang along to songs from his debut album “Trapsoul”.The night got more exciting when Travis Scott joined Bryson Tiller on stage, and performed for the crowd. After a long break, the final performance began.

Young Thug took the stage to close out night, and round off the weekend, playing songs from “Slime Season 2”, and also sharing some new music.

And in a blink of an eye, Day n Night Festival was over. Though it was hot, traffic was bad, and there were difficulties with stage performances, this festival definitely had great moments to remember.
