BOOMBOX is back SATURDAY to celebrate the life & music of TRUGOY THE DOVE a.k.a. PLUG 2 a.k.a. DAVE of DE LA SOUL! We were deeply saddened by his passing and we wanted to celebrate him and his contributions the best way we know how…by blasting his music for all to hear!

Join us this weekend as we dive deep into his astounding catalog for a full evening of De La Soul…classics, remixes, album cuts, rarities, samples, & much more! Helping us celebrate are 2 of our favorite DJs and De La fanatics, the venerable HOUSE SHOES [Street Corner Music] + DJ JEDI [MOM LA]!

We wish this wasn’t an event we had to do, but this is most certainly an event we have to do. Dave & De La’s music has had an indelible impact on all of our lives, not to mention on the history of hip hop and music at large. Right now we know we want to be around others who feel the same way.
