BOOMBOX returns [SAT.9/2] with a VERY special event. We are collaborating with The 45 Sessions for a special “45s Edition” featuring the debut Los Angeles headline DJ set from the none other than certified 45s legend DJ KOCO aka SHIMOKITA all the way from JAPAN!! That’s right, we are hosting one of the vinyl GOATs for his first ever headline set in Los Angeles…this is not a drill!
A DJ since the early 2000s, KOCO’s meteoric rise to fame began in 2017 when he posted his first video to instagram. It was then when the world got to see what audiences in Japan already knew…the man’s meticulous mastery of vinyl manipulation, specifically 7″ 45rpm records, is second to absolutely no one! Since then he’s traveled the globe countless times spreading the vinyl gospel from festival stages to Boiler Room sessions, garnering the respect and praise from every DJ luminary you could possibly imagine. To say we are honored to be hosting this DJ icon would be a monumental understatement. This is truly a rare treat!
If that wan’t enough, we are also joined by our brother, and 45 Sessions founder/resident PLATURN who’s coming down from the Bay Area to join in the festivities longside the full Boombox Soundsystem [INKA ONE + BEN DIGGIN + ANALOG + MANTRON] for this special ALL 45s event!
